Dr. Bergman compiles a unique and comprehensive picture of metabolic health using multiple clinical analyses including:

A health history review of up to 28 systems in the body

Bio-Cellular Impedance measuring:

Basal Metabolic Rate
Determines caloric needs and provides insight of underlying endocrine issues

Water Distribution (Total Body Water (TBW), Extracellular (ECW), Intracellular)
TBW Determines Hydration requirements and Cell Transport capabilities
ECW measures one aspect of metabolic clearing efficiency

Anabolic Capacity Measurement
Shows trends of the body’s ability to gain or lose muscle

Analysis of Labs – Lipid Panel, Glucose, Nutrient Reserve Status, and Urinalysis
  Shows efficiency of nutrient conversion

Metabolic Terrain Analysis (MTA)
With a Metabolic Terrain Analysis (MTA) there is a clear path to see the core clinical imbalances that could be causing ill health or impaired performance. MTA measures several factors of fluid dynamics in the internal environment of the body. This environment is often referred to as the "terrain" or "biological terrain". The MTA’s complete picture gives Dr. Bergman a baseline in which to decide a course of treatment as well as an objective measurement for monitoring the effectiveness of that treatment. Our dynamic form of analysis helps uncover the underlying cause or causes of a patient's imbalance, rather then treating a list of "symptoms".

An MTA can get a fast and accurate picture of an individual’s current functional health by monitoring the following bio-markers:

  pH Balance
Pathogens tend to thrive in an acidic environment. Almost every hormone and enzyme reaction in the body is dictated by pH. Oxygen will not bind to hemoglobin and sugars will not be driven into the cell with an imbalanced pH.

  Oxidative Stress
Provides a quantifiable measurement of free radicals and the stress placed on the liver to clear metabolic waste.

  Electrolyte Balance
Decreased levels reduce electrical impulses (nerve impulses, muscle contractions) and impair carbohydrate absorption.
Increased levels put stress on the kidneys, adrenals and may lead to lymphatic congestion, impaired tissue recovery and a suppressed immune system.

  Sugar and Protein Metabolism
Measures ability to absorb and utilize macro nutrients to maintain muscle mass.

Dr. Bergman systematically addresses Core Clinical Imbalances in your body that can manifest as:

Inflammation & Pain Stress Hormonal Disturbances Infertility
Digestive Problems Fatigue & Poor Stamina Reoccurring Infections Sinus/Allergy Issues
Nutrient Malabsorption Mood Swings/Irritability Migraine Headaches Elevated Cholesterol
